FSI Payments Solutions Sales Specialist Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a seasoned Sales Leader to drive new business development across India and APAC in the Financial Services and Retail sector, focusing on retail card payments and digital payment solutions.

Hybrid Work Arrangement This role is hybrid with an expectation to work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Description The incumbent will lead the sales strategy for a full‑stack payment solution that combines HPE NonStop Compute Server infrastructure, platform management, optional hosting, and an industry‑leading payments application layer. The solution enables payment system modernization, adoption of ISO 20022 messaging standards, cost optimisation, and profitability improvement. We partner with leading ISV vendors such as Lusis, Omnipayments, and emerging payment solution providers to design and integrate their software into customers’ IT and business landscape. The solution is delivered under HPE GreenLake as‑a‑Service, offering a cloud‑like consumption model with pricing based on transaction usage.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a go‑to‑market strategy for Financial Services and Retail Payments solutions across India and APAC.

Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities with banks, payment processors, card issuers, and merchant acquirers in these regions.

Engage with senior stakeholders to understand business challenges and position our solution effectively.

Collaborate with internal teams and ISV partners to design and deliver integrated payment solutions.

Promote adoption of HPE GreenLake as‑a‑Service pricing models for flexible, consumption‑based billing.

Negotiate and close complex solution deals, ensuring customer satisfaction and long‑term relationships.

Required Skills & Experience

Proven track record in solution selling to financial institutions and/or retail payment organizations.

Strong understanding of payments industry processes, terminology, and regulatory standards.

Experience working for a bank, card issuer, payment processor, or merchant acquirer (credibility is essential).

Ability to articulate value propositions around payments modernization, ISO 20022, and digital transformation.

Familiarity with transaction‑based pricing models and as‑a‑Service frameworks.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.

Ability to work across diverse cultures and geographies in India and APAC.

Education and Experience Required

Minimum 10+ years in enterprise solution sales, with at least 5 years focused on payments or financial services.

Experience working for a bank, card issuer, payment processor, merchant acquirer, or a payments technology vendor.

Familiarity with retail card payments, digital payments, and ISO 20022 messaging standards.

Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem, including transaction processing, card networks, and digital payment trends.

Knowledge of payments modernization, fraud prevention, and cost optimisation strategies.

Comfortable discussing IT infrastructure (compute servers, hosting, platform management) and as‑a‑Service pricing models.

Awareness of regulatory compliance and regional payment standards in India and APAC.
