Job Description
Lead end-to-end project lifecycle: initiation, planning, design, development, SIT/UAT, deployment, and go-live.
Develop project scope, timelines, resource plans, and budget estimates.
Monitor project progress, manage risks and issues, and ensure timely delivery.
Ensure all technical deliverables comply with bank standards, architecture principles, and IT governance.
2. Technical Analysis & Solution Design
Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into solution designs.
Review and validate architectural designs, data flows, integration diagrams, and technical specifications (TSD/FSD/API specs).
Work closely with architects, developers, and vendors to ensure feasibility and alignment with the bank’s technology landscape.
3. System Integration & API Management
Manage integration between banking systems through
API (REST/SOAP), ESB, MQ , or other middleware components.
Coordinate technical testing for system-to-system connectivity, data exchange, and message flow.
Troubleshoot integration issues such as API timeout, error logs, data mismatch, and performance bottlenecks.
4. Database & Infrastructure Coordination
Support database-related activities such as data mapping, ETL, data migration, and validation (SQL/Oracle/Postgre/DB2).
Coordinate with infrastructure, network, and security teams regarding servers, storage, VM, cloud, containers, and access management.
Ensure performance, stability, and security across environments (DEV, SIT, UAT, PROD).
5. Banking Software Implementation
Participate and lead implementation of banking systems such as:
Core Banking System
Loan Origination System (LOS)
Payment Systems (RTGS, SKN, BI-FAST, ISO20022)
Treasury, AML, Fraud Detection, or Risk Systems
Regulatory Reporting Systems (OJK/BI/SLIK)
Wealth Management System
Key activities include:
Parameter configuration
System customization coordination
Environment setup
SIT/UAT management
Migration, cutover planning, and go-live execution
6. Testing & Quality Assurance
Prepare SIT test plans, integration test scenarios, and regression test scripts.
Validate test results through log analysis, API testing, DB queries, and error tracking.
Lead defect management and coordinate resolutions with vendor and internal teams.
7. Technical Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis
Perform system analysis, issue replication, and RCA for technical incidents.
Coordinate performance tuning, query optimization, system monitoring, and log analysis.
Ensure permanent fixes are implemented and documented properly.
Coordinate with vendors, integrators, developers, business users, and project sponsors.
Provide clear project updates and technical reports to stakeholders and senior management.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related fields.
Experience
Minimum
5 years
of experience as IT Project Manager, Technical Lead, or System Analyst.
Mandatory experience in implementing
banking or financial software systems .
Background as a developer, technical consultant, system engineer, or integration specialist is a strong advantage.
Technical Skills
Understanding of:
API (REST/SOAP), ESB, MQ
Monitoring tools (ELK, Splunk, Grafana)
Basic scripting (SQL, Bash, Python) – optional
Ability to read or review source code for troubleshooting is a plus.
Project Management Skills
Expertise in Waterfall, Agile/Scrum, and hybrid project methodologies.
Excellent documentation skills (TSD, traceability matrix, test plan, RCA).
Strong risk management and cross-functional coordination.
Soft Skills
Strong leadership and communication abilities.
Structured, analytical thinker with high problem-solving capability.
Able to work under pressure and tight timelines.
Preferred Certifications
ITIL Foundation.
ISO 27001, CISSP, or other security-related certifications (added advantage).
Vendor-specific certification for banking software systems is a plus.
