Job Description As the

Director of Sales - MICE , you will be responsible for driving the growth and success of Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua’s MICE business. This is a strategic leadership role where you will oversee all sales activities related to meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions. You will lead a team of talented sales professionals, develop key client relationships, and collaborate closely with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience and maximum revenue growth. Your role will be pivotal in positioning Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua as the premier MICE destination in the region.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Execution:

Develop and implement a comprehensive MICE sales strategy to drive business growth and exceed revenue targets, focusing on increasing market share and attracting high‑profile MICE clients.

Team Leadership & Development:

Lead, mentor, and motivate the MICE sales team to achieve performance goals; foster a culture of high performance, creativity, and customer service excellence.

Client Relationship Management:

Establish and maintain strong relationships with key corporate clients, PCOs, DMCs, associations, and event planners; ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Market Research & Competitor Analysis:

Monitor and analyze industry trends, competitor offerings, and market dynamics; adapt sales strategies to capitalize on emerging opportunities in the MICE sector.

Event Support & Coordination:

Work closely with operations and events teams to ensure seamless execution of MICE events from inquiry to post‑event follow‑up; ensure all client requirements are met and exceeded.

Brand Promotion & Representation:

Represent Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua at industry trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events; promote the Sofitel brand as a luxury MICE destination and increase visibility within the global MICE community.

Reporting & Analysis:

Provide regular reports to the senior leadership team on MICE performance, trends, and opportunities; evaluate and optimize sales processes to enhance revenue generation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Minimum 8 years of experience in MICE sales, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role, preferably within the luxury hospitality sector.

Proven track record of achieving and exceeding MICE sales targets, with a strong understanding of the MICE market and industry dynamics.

In‑depth knowledge of Bali’s MICE market and the ability to identify new business opportunities.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a high‑performing sales team.

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.

Experience in using CRM systems and MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Fluent in English (both written and spoken); knowledge of other languages (e.g., Bahasa Indonesia) is a plus.

Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make strategic decisions.
