Responsibilities

Provide taxation training to the wider Finance team

Prepare and file Income tax, FBT, GST, Branch tax and other relevant tax returns

Review and analyse monthly taxation workpapers

Review the FBT motor vehicle register

Calculate and process year‑end taxation journals and review the tax section of the audit file

Act as a recognised expert internally, providing specialist knowledge and advice

Provide support and advice to senior managers in Finance related areas to achieve performance targets and avoid risk

Deliver operational excellence by managing complex Finance matters and contributing towards the overall business strategy

Build trust, relationships and networks internally and externally with key clients and partners; participate with industry and professional bodies

Communicate positively and effectively, ensuring team members and internal clients are consistently well informed about progress and timelines

Maintain high standards of professionalism and identify opportunities for innovation based on experience and knowledge of the business

Drive quality, excellence, and efficiency by identifying viable process improvements

Encourage excellent team performance through specific and constructive feedback

Add value to projects through expert specialist input, drawing on significant experience

Possess an understanding of relevant markets

Other duties as directed

Experience & Qualifications

Significant knowledge and experience in tax legislation and compliance issues

Strong written and verbal communication skills

CPA or Chartered

Attention to detail
