About the Role
We are seeking a hands‑on Senior Analytics Engineer as the primary architect of our data infrastructure. In this pivotal role, you will transition the company from fragile, ad‑hoc reporting to a robust, scalable data ecosystem by building sustainable ETL pipelines and "Source of Truth" data models. You will bridge the gap between engineering and business, ensuring that our raw data is not only technically sound but also accurately translated into high‑impact executive dashboards.
What your daily work looks like
Design and implement scalable data schemas (e.g., Star Schema, Dimensional Modelling) that translate complex business processes into clean, usable datasets for analysis
Define and govern the "Data Dictionary" for the company, ensuring metrics like "Gross Margin" or "Churn" are calculated consistently across all systems
Develop and maintain data pipelines, which involve the extraction of data from various sources (databases, APIs, and external systems), data transformation to ensure quality and consistency, and loading the processed data into data warehouses or other storage systems
Optimize data processing and storage systems for performance and scalability
Translate vague business questions from leadership into precise SQL queries and data visualizations
Troubleshoot pipeline failures, monitor data freshness, and ensure accuracy in reporting
Document data lineage and technical architecture to ensure the system is maintainable and audit‑proof
Stay updated on the latest tools and best practices
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related fields
5+ years of relevant experience in Data Engineering, Architecture, and Business Intelligence
Ability to write complex, optimized queries (Window functions, CTEs) and design efficient database schemas
Proficiency in Python (Pandas, Requests) for scripting custom ETL jobs and API integrations
Proven experience building "Business‑Ready" data models (transforming raw logs into clean Fact/Dimension tables)
Hands‑on experience with BI platforms (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, etc.)
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
Excellent Communication Skills and Ability to work both Independently and Collaboratively
Able to explain technical data concepts to non‑technical stakeholders
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others
Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy in work
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
Willingness to continuously learn and stay updated with industry trends and advancements
Demonstrates a strong sense of accountability and responsibility
Fluent in English both verbal and writing
Proficient in Mandarin and Cantonese is a plus
