Quantity Surveyor - MEP

What will you do Develop and maintain cost estimates for engineering services on projects, from Class 5 budgets up to Class 1 - detailed design stages. Build up unit rate of MEP trades accurately. Contact local and international vendors for pricing and to obtain estimate delivery schedule. Able to review designs in order to determine whether design is sufficient for BQ measurement. Conduct cost analysis on projects and provide accurate estimates for materials, labour, and other expenses Advise project managers and other stakeholders on cost-saving measures and cost-effective solutions Prepare bills of quantities or schedules of materials, labour, and equipment required for the project Analyse and review contractor bids to ensure accuracy and completeness Work with engineers, project managers, and other project stakeholders to ensure that the project meets all requirements Review on progress payments, assess variations and claims, and report costs vs budgets Provide regular reports and updates to Line Manager and other stakeholders Able to manage the cost databases

Where you will work Jakarta Office, South Jakarta What you bring Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrument & Piping (MEP) cost engineering/consultant or construction cost estimating. Experience from an engineering consultant is preferred. Proven experience in managing complex engineering projects Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work effectively under pressure Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail, project schedule, and organizational skills Knowledge of engineering materials, MEP regulations, and construction methods Experience with estimating software and tools will be an advantage Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Good communication in English, both verbal and written.
