Retail Business Analyst (POS)

We are looking for a Retail Business Analyst to work closely with retail clients on business processes, POS systems, and store technology workflows. This is a hands-on, client-facing role that combines business analysis, system configuration, and stakeholder coordination. You will help retailers design and optimize workflows across POS, mobile touch points, and merchandise management systems, ensuring that technology solutions align with real operational needs. This role is well-suited for someone who understands retail environments, is comfortable with technology, and enjoys working directly with clients, developers, and QA teams.

Key Responsibilities Retail Process Analysis & Solution Design Analyze and design business processes for retail clients, particularly in an omnichannel context. Focus on workflows related to POS systems, mobile touchpoints, and store merchandise management. Identify inefficiencies, functional gaps, and improvement opportunities. POS & System Implementation Advise clients on the introduction and usage of POS standard software. Configure systems based on client requirements and operational needs. Ensure solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned with store operations. Requirements Engineering & Coordination Gather, structure, and document functional requirements. Translate business needs into clear specifications for Developers and QA. Work closely with clients and internal teams to clarify scope and expectations Go-Live & Client Support Support clients during go-live preparation, quality assurance, and rollout activities. Assist with key user training and functional onboarding. Act as the primary contact for functional and system-related questions. KPIs / Success Metrics Accuracy and clarity of documented requirements Smoothness of system configuration and rollout Client satisfaction and functional adoption Reduction of process inefficiencies and issues Effectiveness of stakeholder coordination

Must-Have Skills & Experience Minimum 3 years of experience in retail-related environments (retail operations, POS systems, or merchandise management). Solid understanding of retail workflows and store processes. Strong technical understanding of IT systems, software, and networks. Analytical and problem-solving mindset. Ability to interpret business needs and translate them into system logic. Clear communication skills (verbal and written). Comfortable working directly with clients and cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadline

Nice to Have Experience working with POS platforms or retail software vendors. Familiarity with requirements engineering or business analysis practices. Exposure to system configuration or implementation projects. Experience supporting go-live / rollout phases. Prior consulting or client-facing experience.
