Astro is seeking a strategic and results‑driven
Head of Fulfillment Excellence
to lead the transformation and continuous improvement of our Fresh & Frozen warehouse and supply chain operations. In this pivotal role, you will identify opportunities for efficiency, streamline end‑to‑end logistics processes, and drive innovation across all fulfillment activities.
Strategic Responsibilities
Identify opportunities and define strategies for efficiencies in the work process and innovative approaches for cost efficiency, productivity & quality across Astro’s Dry, Fresh & Frozen Warehouse & Midmile.
Strategize, plan and execute short, medium and long‑term improvements.
Ensure sustainability of improvements with system control, automation, OKR setup and process governance.
Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration to deliver the best possible results, develop, test, and refine business processes/practices.
All improvements processed must be aligned and reflect Astro’s customer value in clear, measurable progress.
BAU Responsibilities
Spearhead and execute projects with strict timelines & deliverables.
Conduct thorough research, perform data analysis, and implement advanced analytical techniques to provide practical insights into supply‑chain operations.
Monitor end‑to‑end business process improvement, initiatives, and prioritization with measurable results.
Coordinate with various business units & Vertical Operations to initiate projects/tasks.
Team Management Responsibilities
Support and guide the team to manage, prioritize, and deliver results within strict timelines.
Balance between top‑down and bottom‑up initiatives, while providing clear guidance to the team.
Requirements
Educational background from Engineering is a plus.
At least 8+ years of experience in a related field.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead, direct, and motivate a team.
Proven experience in project management with strict timelines & deliverables.
Mandatory business and financial acumen.
Proven experience in process excellence methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, DMAIC).
Experience in supply‑chain management and operations, willing to take a hands‑on approach and actively engage with ground operations, including regular visits to the warehouse.
Proficiency in relevant supply‑chain software and systems including WMS & TMS.
