Product Engineer (Backend)

Job Description Design, develop, and maintain backend services with an emphasis on writing clean, scalable, and maintainable code. Collaborate with product managers and fellow engineers to build and enhance product features. Take ownership of assigned features or components, including development, testing, deployment, and monitoring. Help ensure the performance, scalability, and security of the platform under guidance from senior engineers. Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing. Stay updated on industry trends, especially related to e-grocery, cloud technologies, and backend development.

Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related fields, or equivalent practical experience. 2–4 years of professional experience in backend development, ideally in startups or fast-paced environments. Proficiency in backend technologies ( Go ) and backend development principles. Familiar with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL. Familiar with Redis for caching or session management. Familiar with message queues such as PubSub, Kafka, or RabbitMQ. Comfortable working with RESTful APIs and gRPC. Basic understanding of cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure). Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, asynchronous jobs, event-driven architecture, and agile methodologies. Experience with automation testing tools is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications Experience or interest in e-grocery, e-commerce, or retail industries. Experience working on scaling customer-facing applications.
