About the Role We are seeking an experienced

Medical & Insurance Collections Specialist

to manage hospital and medical accounts receivable, focusing on U.S. insurance collections and reimbursement processes. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in medical billing, insurance follow-ups, and claim resolution who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities Manage and follow up on outstanding hospital and medical claims with U.S. insurance companies. Conduct insurance collections through phone calls, emails, and payer portals. Review denied or underpaid claims, identify root causes, and initiate appeals or reconsiderations. Analyze EOBs and insurance reimbursement details. Work closely with legal teams, hospitals, and internal departments to resolve complex accounts. Maintain accurate documentation in billing or case management systems. Analyze aging reports and prioritize accounts to maximize recovery. Negotiate payment resolutions when appropriate and monitor payment plans. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FDCPA, and applicable regulations.

Required Qualifications Minimum

3+ years of experience

in medical/hospital accounts receivable or insurance collections. Strong understanding of

EOBs, claim denials, appeals, and reimbursement processes . Familiarity with major U.S. commercial payers, Medicare, and Medicaid guidelines. Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume workloads. Ability to work independently and meet collection targets. Fluent English (spoken and written).

Preferred Background Experience working in a

law firm, healthcare collections agency, or hospital billing department . Experience in fast-paced legal or collections environments. Familiarity with medical billing software, collection platforms, or case management systems.
