Role Description
The
Pre-Sales Manager
will be responsible in supporting the business development and project acquisition process. You will analyze client requirements, prepare competitive solutions, and coordinate with engineering, estimation, and project teams to ensure accurate and compelling submissions. This includes developing detailed BOQs, pricing structures, and technical methodologies for MEP and Data Center construction projects.
Job Description
Lead the development of end-to-end data center solutions, including capacity, mechanical/electrical design input, redundancy options, and compliance requirements.
Prepare solution architectures, design briefs, and technical proposals.
Ensure proposed solutions meet Uptime Tier standards, local regulations, and customer SLAs.
Work with engineering to validate feasibility, cost, and delivery timelines.
Act as the primary technical advisor during pre-sales engagement.
Conduct discovery sessions, site visits, and deep-dive workshops to understand customer needs across: Power capacity, Cooling & rack density, Network/IXP connectivity, Security & compliance, Migration or expansion requirements.
Translate customer requirements into clear solution specifications.
Lead the creation of RFI/RFP/RFQ responses with high technical accuracy.
Coordinate cross-functional teams (Engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal) to prepare competitive proposals.
Develop pricing models and BoQs with sales and finance teams.
Review tender documents to identify risks, opportunities, and compliance gaps.
Deliver compelling presentations, demos, and solution walkthroughs for enterprise and hyperscale clients.
Support customer technical evaluations, due diligence, and audits (including facility tours).
Work closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Sales teams to ensure solution alignment and readiness.
Provide feedback on market trends to support product development and data center capacity planning.
Support onboarding of new customers by handing over technical requirements to delivery teams.
Analyze competitor offerings, pricing, and technology trends in the data center market.
Recommend solution enhancements and differentiators that improve competitiveness.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, IT/Telecom Engineering, or related field.
Experience working with enterprise or hyperscale clients.
5–8+ years of experience in pre-sales, technical sales, or solution engineering in: Data center, Cloud / colocation, Telco, Critical infrastructure, and Enterprise IT.
Strong understanding of data center systems: Power systems (UPS, generators, PDUs), Cooling systems (CRAC/CRAH, chiller, in-row cooling), Cabling, networking, and connectivity, Security and compliance (ISO, PCI, SOC)
Excellent presentation, communication, and customer-facing skills.
Ability to craft commercial proposals and BoQs.
Proficiency in MS Office, Power BI, and design review tools (AutoCAD, Visio).
Strong business acumen and solution-selling mindset
