Senior R&D and Industrialisation Project Manager (M/F) Join Marso Robotics to pilot the transition from prototype to industrial robot, coordinating technical partners, factories, and internal teams to deliver a reliable, certified, and economically optimised product.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the industrialisation phase, ensuring reliability on client sites, cutting robot cost by half, obtaining CE certification, and qualifying a scalable supply chain.

Converge design, production, and field teams to guarantee cost, quality, and schedule.

Supervise collaboration with suppliers (build follow‑up, FAT, mechatronic integrations, quality).

Ensure consistency between remote R&D work and the overall product roadmap.

Drive system maturity ramp‑up from TRL3 to TRL7.

Implement Design‑to‑Cost strategy, identifying optimisation levers on mechanical, electronic, and compute subsystems.

Arbitrate technical and investment choices with the founders.

Analyse and structure Make‑or‑Buy options, challenge and lead the strategy at different product maturity stages, and build economic models and ramp‑up plans.

Plan CE certification (safety, EMC, machine marking), structuring validation plans (FAT, SAT, EHS) and technical documentation.

Define assembly ranges, in‑assembly tests, and intermediate controls, and prepare and qualify assembly factories.

Implement quality procedures: traceability, non‑conformity management, CAPA.

Synchronise R&D, industrialisation, and field teams; structure monitoring tools (roadmap, build sheets, product versioning, documentation).

Report risks, arbitrations, and key decisions to the founders.

Qualifications

10 to 15 years of experience managing complex industrial projects in robotics, special machines, mechatronics, or embedded products.

Proven track record of taking a product from R&D to certification and mass production.

Experience managing technical partners and industrial subcontractors.

Valid work authorization in France (Marso does not sponsor visa or work permit).

Key Skills

Industrial project management (cost, quality, schedule, risks).

Design‑to‑Cost, DfX, industrialisation, CE certification.

Deep knowledge of assembly, testing, and factory qualification processes.

Solid technical foundations in mechatronics, electronics, and safety.

Management of remote/multi‑site R&D teams.

Soft Skills

Structured, demanding, and impact‑oriented.

Able to simplify complex systems and prioritise under constraints.

Pragmatic field leadership and execution focus.

Excellent communicator, aligning engineers and industrial actors around a common plan.

Recruitment Process

Pre‑qualification interview (30 min) – align expectations with the team.

Technical test (30 min) – short exercise to evaluate problem solving.

Interview with the Manager (1 h) – deep dive on the role, technical vision, and collaboration.

Founder round – final discussion on values and team fit.
