2 Hour Learning seeks a technically accomplished product leader to spearhead the modernization of our AI‑driven learning ecosystem. This position demands the technical depth of a CTO, the strategic product vision to catalyze transformational outcomes, and the commitment to deploy those capabilities toward unlocking student achievement at scale.

While most organizations append AI to conventional educational frameworks as a secondary layer, 2 Hour Learning has pursued a fundamentally different approach: we have reconstructed the school model entirely, leveraging AI and learning science to eliminate the limitations inherent in traditional classrooms. Our students achieve extraordinary results—earning multiple 4s and 5s on AP exams, demonstrating multi‑year academic acceleration within a single year, and regularly exceeding their own performance expectations.

This is not a conventional product management position centered on customer feedback cycles or gradual feature enhancements. This is an executive‑level technical product ownership role in which you will control the architecture, technical strategy, and AI integration across our entire learning platform. You will navigate the complex technical tradeoffs required to keep our products lean, scalable, and uncompromisingly focused on elevating student outcomes.

What You Will Be Doing

Building and applying deep education product expertise to inform strategic direction

Creating technical specifications that establish critical technical decisions while prioritizing simplicity, operational efficiency, and sustainable long‑term design

Deploying generative AI technologies to automate and optimise engineering workflows, in alignment with the strategic objective of minimising manual effort

Pure people management; this position relies heavily on your business acumen and technical judgement

Spending excessive time in meetings, committees, or administrative overhead; we have automated managerial tasks to enable you to concentrate on delivering business value through direct, hands‑on contributions

Proposing high‑level strategies devoid of actionable implementation; your guidance must derive from product‑level understanding

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the CTO for one or more education products, owning foundational competencies and generating business value through flawless execution and strategic leadership

Basic Requirements

Substantial experience or demonstrated interest in data‑driven learning science

7+ years of experience making critical architecture and design decisions on software projects, including the application of architecture design patterns or major open‑source technologies

2+ years of experience making design decisions that involve cloud computing services (primarily AWS)

4+ years of experience in roles with complete technical and delivery ownership of a revenue‑generating product

Experience developing product features that utilise advanced Generative AI capabilities

Experience leveraging Generative AI to streamline and simplify work processes

Working with us This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position.
