Project Engineering Manager - Lithium

Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in Europe's fast-growing energy transition sector? We are seeking a Project Engineering Lead / Manager to spearhead the design and execution of their Lithium extraction plant using next-direct lithium extraction technologies. The Opportunity: In this role, you'll be at the heart of developing large-scale industrial assets that will secure the supply of a critical material for the clean energy future. You will: Lead process design and engineering coordination from concept through commissioning. Oversee multi-disciplinary teams and ensure alignment across all project phases (FEED, detailed design, execution, commissioning). Review and approve key engineering deliverables, including process documentation, calculations, 3D models, layouts, and technical specifications. Interface with supporting infrastructure projects (thermal networks, refineries, and extraction systems). Ensure the highest standards of safety, reliability, and operability through HAZOPs, SIL studies, risk reviews, and operational readiness. Background: Whilst prior experience in the Lithium industry is ideal, we are open to candidates from industries with transferable expertise, such as: Wastewater treatment Oil & Gas Mining & minerals (e.g. potash) Chemical processing Experience in the following is ideal: Pumping, piping, and high-pressure equipment Managing large-scale engineering projects from FEED to commissioning Working with EPCs, contractors, and multi-disciplinary teams Driving safety, quality, and cost-efficiency in design and execution This is an opportunity to work on a project at the forefront of Europe's energy transition, where you will be part of an ambitious, international team building industrial-scale solutions for a sustainable future.
