What You’ll Do:

Implement the sourcing strategy for a specific capital project aligned with local site project team and with global category management

Manage all aspects of project sourcing activities in a fast-paced project environment

Prepare and distribute RFP/RFQs for projects and align efforts with key team members in Operations, Finance, Engineering and Quality

Create bid packages and perform bid analysis, reviewing findings and recommendations with Purchasing Management and Project Team

Lead negotiation with selected suppliers and develop contracts. Act as team leader for all assigned contracts

Develop and drive annual project cost savings goals and objectives

Proactively look for opportunities to increase cost efficiency in conjunction with the functional area stakeholders across Novartis sites to add value and reduce costs

Provide strategic leadership to business and Engineering organization for supplier related commercial aspects of the project

Manage risk and supplier compliance within the project; ensure supplier conformance to quality policies, EHS and overall industry regulations

Coordinate and facilitate communication between suppliers, internal customers and legal department

Be part of a global network of Novartis worldwide sites with similar capital projects, participate in global initiatives and implement them within local site

Accountable to meet annual project savings targets.

Who you are

Highly effective project management skills

Advanced knowledge of construction operations & manufacturing facility infrastructure

Knowledge of Processing equipment & facilities infrastructure that supports a Pharmaceutical Industry plant or at least knowledge of the processing in the consumer goods- industry or packaging industry

Advanced negotiation skills

Ability to create well-structured, professional presentations, reports/correspondences

Demonstrate strong analytical business processes & and problem solving capabilities

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite tools, SAP
