Release Manager

The Role Integrated into the operational teams, you will contribute to improving the quality of our software versions by being the guarantor of the stability of our reference software branches. This will require defining and implementing a rigorous process for verifying patches (setting up delivery sheets, understanding the patch, risk analysis, performing unit & system tests, writing update procedures) and communicating with the teams in charge of deploying these patches. A complementary objective will be to work closely with our test automation teams of which you will be a customer. You will conduct these tests on a dedicated platform and analyze the results according to a compliance plan before integrating any new patches into the stable branch. Below, a list of non-exhaustive tasks concerning your mission: Definition of a quality process for patches from the Development team (upstream tasks):

Definition of a delivery sheet through our Jira tool Understanding the fix with the developer Functional risk and impact analysis and system Definition of additional tests to be automated

Patch validation, software integration, and writing the update procedure (downstream tasks):

Integration of the patch into the test branch Execution of automated tests to validate the patch – Analysis of the results Integration of the patch into the stable branch Writing the update procedure incorporating the new patch – delivery sheet to the teams in charge of updating the version with the customer

Who are you?

dynamic, curious by nature and autonomous. be able to communicate and be the point of reference between teams (in French and English). strength of proposal and rigorous in your way of apprehending systems and telecom issues. eager to communicate, document, exchange with the teams in charge of development and operations on the processes you have put in place. in a process of quality improvement and permanent update of tools and processes related to your operational activity. 3 years with a last convincing experience with a publisher or telecom operator.

You have proven skills in the following areas:

Software version control (GIT/BitBucket) and patch backport tool Outils d’analyse réseau et de diagnostic avancé, et plus spécifiquement Wireshark Confluence-type document management tool Bug tracking tool (ideally Jira) Analysis of VOIP technical problems based on log files and proposal of reasoned resolution hypothesis Linux et plus particulièrement la distribution CentOS
