Role Overview We invite you to join us as our founding CSRO (Chief Science and Research Officer), where you'll lead the scientific and algorithmic development of a pioneering AI platform for Energy‑Finance systems, building on a patent‑pending methodology filed. We're seeking a forward‑thinking scientific leader who can drive innovation and scale our growth.

Your mission

Build, integrate, and validate the AI platform for energy‑Finance systems

Implement functional algorithm using real operational data

Develop optimization models for energy system applications

Deliver prediction and forecasting capabilities for operational planning

Ensure data integration with customer operational systems

Generate validation documentation and pilot demonstration materials

Required Qualifications Core Technical Competencies :

ML / AI Implementation : Hands‑on experience building advanced ML systems in production

Deep expertise in causal inference, probabilistic modelling, or Bayesian methods

Experience with advanced forecasting systems or predictive modelling in complex domains

Optimization Algorithms : Implementing numerical optimization methods

Data Integration : Working with real‑world operational data

Python Engineering : Production‑quality code + C++ / Rust

Validation & Testing : Rigorous performance measurement and benchmarking

Required Background (One of the Following) :

Path A — Academic

PhD (completed or in the final year) in Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field

Strong publication record or demonstrated technical depth

Path B — Industry

MSc in a relevant field + 5 years in R&D or product engineering at a European energy or tech company

Hands‑on experience building advanced ML / AI systems

Proven track record of delivering production software

Preferred or Valuable

Experience with energy systems or industrial applications

Familiarity with French / EU research funding, institutions and universities

Background in time‑series forecasting

Experience supporting customer pilots or technical evaluations

Leadership Profile

Research team leadership experience

Strong project delivery track record

Investor‑facing communication capability

Strategic mindset for international scale‑up

Qualifications

PhD or MSc : Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related

Language Mandatory : Fluency in English AND at least one of the following :

French (native or professional proficiency)

German (native or professional proficiency)
