Software Engineer - Global Architecture
Position at
Alan , a vertically integrated health partner that unites insurance and smart healthcare delivery into one system.
A key goal of our Global Architecture team is to transform country‑specific codebases into global, configurable modules. This enables any team at Alan to develop and launch features seamlessly across markets, aligning with our 2025 technical strategy.
Responsibilities
Design Cross‑Cutting Modules
– transform country‑specific implementations into elegant global components that become the new building blocks for other teams.
Remove Technical Blockers for Product Teams
– tackle cross‑domain technical obstacles and eliminate team‑specific workarounds.
Orchestrate Data Transformations
– implement strategies to harmonize different countries’ data models while preserving local flexibility.
Build and Own Your Solutions
– take ownership from design to deployment and long‑term maintenance.

What We’re Looking For
Write and maintain code – we don’t have ivory‑tower architects, we build what we design.
Navigate complex systems across multiple domains and technical boundaries.
Experience with diverse architectural patterns and articulate trade‑offs.
Spot and eliminate blockers for multiple teams.
Qualifications
5+ years of engineering experience, focusing on simplifying complex business problems.
Strong object‑oriented programming skills in Python, Java, C#, and modern JavaScript.
Experience in Python/JavaScript environments (not required for both).
Passion for building products and a self‑starting, entrepreneurial mindset.
Collaborative, humble, and eager to grow at any seniority.
Fluent in English.
