GravitHy is an innovative French company born with a global ambition to decarbonize the steel industry. Our goal is to produce large-scale, low-carbon green Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) using renewable and low-emission hydrogen. We aim to build, own, and operate our first green iron plant in southern France (2.3B€ Capex) , with the intention of replicating this model across Europe and beyond. About the Role GravitHy is seeking a BIM Plant Design /3D Model Engineer. Reporting to the Senior Engineering Project Manager, the BIM Plant Design /3D Model Engineer is responsible for the design and coordination of plant design and 3D modelling activities for production units and related facilities. He/She ensures technical quality, interdisciplinary consistency, and compliance with project schedules and budgets, while actively contributing to the digitalization of engineering processes through BIM and 3D design tools. Location Paris, with occasional travel to Fos-sur-Mer. Key Responsibilities 1. Technical Coordination

Ensuring technical consistency between project packages including piping, structural, civil, HVAC, Fire, electrical, instrumentation, HSE with 3D model studies. Plan, monitor, and control the progress of design activities within the assigned scope; identify deviations, anticipate risks, and ensure compliance with deadlines, costs, and quality standards. Design authorities on Piping field and general arrangements Leader in 3D model review with attention on maintenance and operation Deliverables will include BOMs (Bill of Materials) and isometric drawings. Prepare and lead internal progress meetings within the discipline and provide regular technical reporting to Project Managers.

2. Design, 3D Modelling, and Document Validation

Strategy about modularization, develop 3D Model and BIM standards with the support of the Engineering Company. Ensure the standardization on project packages in preparation to a Digital Twin. Strong knowledge of the administration of 3D model software (able to guide the Engineering) Lead 3D modelling of industrial installations using design software such as E3D, S3D, MicroStation, AutoCAD, or Revit. Produce and validate layout drawings or general view of the plant Validate isometrics, general arrangement drawings of any suppliers/vendors, piping flexibility and stress calculation notes, and material requisitions. Able to challenge the piping class to have the best economic scenario Check the quality and compliance of documents in accordance with GravitHy standards and applicable norms (ASME, EN, ISO). Lead design reviews (layout, piping, constructability, HSE) and ensure proper integration of updates within the digital model.

3. Interdisciplinary Coordination and Document Management

Coordinate and manage data exchange/information between piping and other disciplines: process, civil, instrumentation, electrical, HSE, etc. Organize and monitor the distribution and revision of engineering documents (P&IDs, line lists, layout drawings, isometrics, calculation notes, vendor drawings, requisitions, etc.). Track vendor drawings and incorporate feedback into the 3D model while maintaining up-to-date documentation. Participate in project coordination meetings and facilitate effective technical communication across disciplines and internal partners.

4. Project Follow-up, Site Support, and Continuous Improvement

Provide technical follow-up of design activities on site and support the construction phase as needed (technical assistance, management of deviations, model updates). Identify, document, and quantify design changes occurring during engineering and construction phases. Contribute to HSE and constructability reviews, ensuring technical compliance and safety of installations. Support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement of 3D design tools, methods, and processes. Promote and develop the use of BIM and collaborative digital technologies within engineering teams.

Profile Education

Engineering Master's degree in Mechanical, Process, or Piping Engineering, or equivalent.

Experience

At least 10 years of experience in industrial as piping or BIM engineer in Continuous heavy process industry. Experience in 3D model review and control in a collaborative environment (technical reviews, clash detection, version management).Fluency in English with professional proficiency in French. Knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASME, EN, ISO). Skills in flexibility analysis, layout design, and BIM data management. Understanding of multidisciplinary engineering workflows and inter-discipline coordination. Awareness of HSE, constructability, and operational constraints during design. Strong teamwork, autonomy, and communication capabilities in multicultural environments.
