The Field Service Team Leader role has a primary responsibility in managing a team of Field Service Engineers to deliver a best‑in‑class service to our customers. They drive top performance and engagement from their team who support a wide variety of Waters products and software in our customers’ laboratories. You will be able to utilise your expertise in various strategic projects and execute them with the constant support from the team. Responsibilities
Leading and developing a team of Field Service Engineers based in France primarily focused on HRMS systems
Collaborating with the other team leaders to improve the efficiency of the service organization
Proactively focusing on service operations to drive service delivery improvements and efficiency gains, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
Providing support to your team to ensure functional projects in your department are delivered in a manner complementary to the organisation
Managing escalations within your territory and collaborating effectively cross‑functionally with other Waters resource pools such as our Global Service Support & HQ organisations to ensure prompt and successful resolutions
Providing guidance and coaching to Field Service Engineers, including facilitating access to internal resources to help overcome complex technical issues and challenges
Working with the business management team to harmonise processes and elaborate resources
Being responsible for providing regular reporting to European & Corporate headquarters
Ensuring compliance amongst your team regarding Waters processes and procedures, customer SOPs, local legislation and health and safety rules and protocols
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Biology, Engineering or other science‑related field is desired; equivalent experience, training and education will also be considered
Experience
3–5 years of experience with installation, performance maintenance, troubleshooting, support and/or end‑user utilisation of scientific instrumentation, preference for previous Waters product suite (HPLC/UPLC, LC/MS, HRMS, SFC, Informatics)
An understanding of GMP/GLP requirements
Ability to lead a team and implement plans developed by the management team
Experience in successfully driving organisational change

Travel
Clean driving licence and a valid passport required
Occasional travel to other territories/countries for governance of department, local business support, meetings and training
