Software Test Engineer

Backed by €27M in Series A funding from Plural, Cherry Ventures, Kindred Ventures, and Brainlab, we are entering a new phase of growth.As part of this expansion, we are looking for a Software Test Engineer to lead verification and validation of our clinical software, ensuring safety, performance, and regulatory compliance across the entire software.What You'll DoYour work will ensure that the software controlling and monitoring our microrobotic procedures meets the highest standards of safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.Test strategy & executionPlan, write and execute units, verification and validation testing for embedded software, front-end and back-end.Ensure full traceability between requirements, tests, and results.Test environments & system integrationDefine and maintain test environments across embedded, backend, and frontend software.Work with system, hardware, and software teams to validate integrated system behavior.Compliance & design controlsContribute to design reviews, risk management, cybersecurity, and usability evaluations.Produce test documentation in line with design control and QMS procedures.Interface with QA/RA and Clinical teams for submissions and audits.Continuous improvementPerform root cause analysis and support CAPAs.Improve testing processes, automation, and software lifecycle practices.Experience5+ years of experience in software testing and validation (Class B and C)in the medical devices industry or a similar high regulated environment.Hands-on experience with industry standards: IEC 62304, IEC60601-1 and ISO14971.Technical skillsCore Tech Stack: Python, Java Script, C and ReactStatic code analysisAppreciated skillsExperience in software requirement specification.Experience in software architecture and detailed design.Ability for front-end and back-end development.Experience in test bench development.Hands-on experience with industry standards, ISO13485, 21CFRSoft SkillsGood communication skills.Analytical and critical spirit.Pragmatic and rigorous.Team player and commitment to work with cross-functional teams.A Mission That Matters:Join a team developing life-changing technology.
