As part of the CILIAS Project, the Postdoctoral Researcher will be responsible for investigating the mechanisms underlying retinal degeneration in the context of ciliopathies, with a particular focus on Alstrรถm syndrome, using both in vivo models (particularly murine models) and in vitro systems (fibroblasts, iPSCs, retinal organoids, and RPE). Responsibilities: Establishment and colony management, including operational aspects related to the production and analysis of the ALMS mouse lines selected by the consortium. Close collaboration with the Research Engineer (AI) of UMRS_1112 at CRBS, who will be partially assigned to the project. Organization and implementation of experimental work involving mouse models: functional analyses (including ERG and OCT), development of additional functional assays, locally conducted histological analyses, and preparation of samples for collaboration with the Lyon-based team, including quality control of transferred materials and follow-up of results for interpretation. Analysis of fibroblasts, iPSCs, retinal organoids, and RPE models already generated by the laboratory, as well as the development of new models depending on the variants under investigation. Acting as a regular point of contact within the collaboration with the Lyon-based team. Contribution to data analysis and preparation of manuscripts within the framework of the ANR project and related projects on retinal ciliopathies.
