Process Engineer
at PWNT.
Your Goal
As PWNT continues to expand its global project portfolio, we are strengthening our team with a Process Engineer. This full‑time position is part of our Project Engineering & Development group and is based in Amsterdam (minimum presence of three days per week).
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the technical quality of PWNT’s process designs and for developing and maintaining engineering standards, including process design guidelines, commissioning plans, control philosophies, process manuals and operating instructions. The position focuses on PWNT’s proprietary technologies
SIX® ,
ILCA®
and
CeraMac® .
Close collaboration with clients is an essential aspect of this role, as you will be involved from conceptual design through commissioning.
Responsibilities in this role:
Process Design
Align with piloting, business development, clients and other technical disciplines to define the Basis of Design.
Participate in process studies such as HAZID and HAZOP during design phases.
Create and mark up Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
Prepare process datasheets and manage data consistency across relevant engineering lists.
Develop control philosophies and contribute to Functional Design Specifications.
Project Execution
Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and on‑site commissioning activities.
Process Optimization & Operational Support
Develop and implement solutions to optimize production processes and reduce operational costs.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new or improved processes.
Monitor and analyse process performance and production data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure alignment with safety and environmental regulations.
This is you
Bachelor/ Master degree in Process / Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
Fluency in English; good knowledge of the Dutch language would be beneficial.
At least 3 years work experience in process engineering, Work experience in Commissioning is a pre.
Adaptable to changing work demands (i.e. flexible in work assignments).
Knowledge and experience in water treatment.
Willingness to travel abroad.
Excellent communication, verbal as well as in writing.
Working with us means
A gross monthly salary between
€3,900 and €5,650 , based on a 40-hour workweek, depending on your knowledge and experience.
25 vacation days, giving you plenty of time to recharge.
Flexible working hours
and the possibility to work from home
two days a week .
