The Site Reliability Engineer Role
Join our dynamic team at Qlik as an impactful engineer of the EMEA Site Reliability Network and Runtime Engineer team. You'll be crucial in designing, building, and operating at scale critical parts of Qlik infrastructure (Cloud Advanced Networking, Kubernetes Clusters, API Gateways, Vault Clusters). This exciting role offers hands‑on experience with cutting‑edge technology and scale challenges as we expand to support millions of transactions across our cloud environment.

Building for scale: Design and develop effective tooling, alerts, and responses with your team to identify and address scalability and reliability risks, utilising your expertise in infrastructure systems and cloud technology.

Here’s how you’ll be making an impact
Reliability and Scalability: Ensure high reliability and availability of our cloud platforms, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to implement new infrastructure features and optimise performance.
Cloud optimisation: Define and evangelise cloud‑related optimisations and best practices, driving improvements in reliability, scalability, and performance.
Problem solving: Analyse complex issues at the infrastructure, systems, network, and application levels, making recommendations and decisions to resolve them effectively.
Polyvalency: Qlik has grown through its growth run on different technologies and backend. You will develop polyvalency and help harmonise all the technology stack.
Knowledge sharing: Share your expertise with fellow engineers, guiding cloud technologies, automation, security, and best practices.
On‑call support: Participate in on‑call duties to maintain the availability and performance of our cloud infrastructure, providing regular updates on project status and activities.
We’re looking for a teammate with
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant field.
5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering.
Excellent English & French communication skills, both oral and written.
Strong experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
Hands‑on experience with Terraform, Helm, GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux).
Experience with Hashicorp Vault, Gloo Gateway, or any similar solutions; polyvalence is a plus.
Familiarity with observability tooling such as Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, and SIEM such as Splunk.
Ability and willingness to take a rotating on‑call shift.
Strong analytical skills for solving complex problems and designing innovative solutions.
Team player who can support their manager in finding complex solutions.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with development teams and provide expert guidance on implementing reliability best practices, ensuring systems are robust, scalable, and highly available.
Curiosity and the desire to learn.
