Overview:

As a Field Services Project Engineer you will manage a hybrid role that combines operational technical execution, engineering, and project management for Steam Generator Chemical Cleaning and liquid waste treatment projects in the Steam Generators Business Unit. The position requires 80% site travel and a focus on safety, quality and regulatory compliance across French nuclear power plant sites and select international locations.

Duties and Responsibilities

Uphold and promote Westinghouse values.

Apply Westinghouse nuclear safety, radiation protection, environmental and quality requirements.

Ensure compliance with project schedules and milestones.

Work effectively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining clear and safe communication practices.

Maintain strong organizational and analytical skills with a methodical and disciplined approach.

Identify, report and manage deviations in accordance with procedures.

Operational Activities

Handle and lift heavy components and equipment.

Install and connect flexible hoses and piping systems.

Execute bolted joint assemblies per torque specifications.

Transfer and unload chemical products under controlled conditions.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.

Manage inventory, packaging, and securing of tools and materials.

Work at height in compliance with safety regulations.

Conduct system alignment and operational checks (pump, boiler, compressor startup, valve operation, etc.).

Monitor and inspect plant systems and equipment.

Complete and document intervention and maintenance records.

Engineering Activities

Establish intervention procedures.

Provide technical lead for design, manufacturing or equipment repair projects.

Ensure regulatory compliance.

Develop technical specifications.

Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to experience feedback and lessons learned processes.

Project Management

Assist the project manager and site manager.

Create and update the project schedule.

Create and update the project organization chart.

Create purchase requests.

Monitor logistics such as transportation and spare parts availability.

Establish the final project report.

Education and Qualifications Degree:

Bachelor’s (bac +5) in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering.

Experience:

0 to 3 years.

Certifications:

SCN, RP, CSQ (preferred in nuclear field).

Skills and Competencies

Microsoft Office, SAP.

Mechanical, Electrical, Electro‑mechanical.

Bureautique.
