Central Compliance Officer

Central Compliance Officer – Multi-Strategy Hedge Fund – Paris We are partnering with a leading multi-strategy hedge fund to appoint a Central Compliance Officer to be based in Paris. This is a high-impact role within a fast-growing European platform, offering broad exposure across investment strategies, products, and jurisdictions.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and strengthening the firm’s compliance framework, working closely with senior management, investment teams, and global compliance colleagues. You will be responsible for supporting regulatory oversight, monitoring activities, and ensuring alignment with French and European regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Support and enhance the firm’s central compliance monitoring programme

Provide day‑to‑day regulatory guidance to front office and operational teams

Oversee regulatory reporting and filings where required

Contribute to policy development and ongoing regulatory change projects

Assist with regulatory interactions, audits, and internal reviews

Monitor trading activity and conduct surveillance reviews

Promote a strong compliance culture across the Paris office

Required Experience & Skills

Strong experience within asset management, hedge funds, or alternative investment firms

Excellent working knowledge of AFM / AIFM regulatory frameworks and French regulatory environment

Experience interacting with regulators and supporting regulatory submissions

Strong understanding of multi‑asset or multi‑strategy investment environments

Fluency in French and English (written and spoken) is essential

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment

Preferred

Experience in a multi‑jurisdictional compliance structure

Exposure to systematic, macro, or multi‑PM hedge fund models
