About the Role We’re hiring a

Senior Flight Software Engineer

to join a fast-growing European spacetech startup developing next-generation LEO satellite platforms for Earth observation and secure communications.

You’ll work on onboard flight software, contributing to mission-critical systems operating in real space environments — radiation constraints, strict power budgets, and zero room for failure.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop flight software in C/C++ for satellite onboard computers

Implement real-time task scheduling and fault management

Work on communication stacks (SpaceWire, CAN, custom telemetry protocols)

Support hardware bring-up and system-level integration

Participate in mission simulation, validation, and in-orbit testing support

Contribute to reliability, redundancy, and fail-safe strategies

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years embedded software experience

Strong C/C++ in real-time or safety-critical systems

RTOS experience (RTEMS, FreeRTOS, VxWorks, or similar)

Experience with constrained systems (memory, power, radiation-aware design)

Debugging at board/system level

Nice to Have

Space-grade hardware experience

Fault detection, isolation & recovery (FDIR)

Experience with satellite subsystems (ADCS, OBC, payload control)
