Project Manager ECC (Electrical Control & Command) – Thermal Power Plants – M/F

Boccard designs and delivers complete installations along with the intelligence that powers them (automation, electrical systems, instrumentation, and solutions for process data collection and processing).

As part of the Process & Technologies Department, the E.I.A team (Electricity, Instrumentation and Automation) provides specialised expertise for projects within the Energy Solutions Business Area, covering nuclear, new energy, and steel & mining markets.

These projects include the construction of biomass power plants, waste recovery facilities, and industrial units in the chemical sector (inks, hydrogen, batteries, biofuels, CO₂ capture), as well as process units for nuclear installations.

You will be responsible for the successful delivery of the electrical and control systems packages for a project — from technical and budget sizing, through the design phase, all the way to commissioning at the client’s site.

What will you do exactly?

Analyse client specifications,

Prepare technical and budget proposals based on supplier pre-consultations and feedback from previous projects,

Draft specifications for different packages and produce basic design documents (power balance, single-line diagrams, I/O lists, instrument lists and specifications, etc.),

Contribute to functional studies,

Work with the Purchasing team to consult suppliers and monitor progress,

Manage allocated budgets and control any changes,

Maintain regular contact with the client and document all meetings,

Provide feedback on the entire project to improve processes.

Your Team You will join a team of two Project Managers and one Technical Lead, reporting to the EIA Department Manager. Your main contacts will include Bid Managers and Project Managers.

Your Environment Working within the “New Energies” Business Unit, you’ll collaborate with major energy producers in mainland France and overseas territories. Integrated into a multidisciplinary project team (project managers, process engineers, designers, etc.), you’ll be responsible for the electrical scope — from high-voltage distribution to equipment power supply and control systems.

Education and Experience You hold a technical degree at

Bachelor’s

or

Master’s

level (engineering school or university, specialising in industrial or mechanical engineering) and have initial experience in an industrial environment. You also bring

strong expertise in electrical systems, industrial IT, and automation .

We are looking for profiles with experience in

turnkey industrial projects

(EPC: Engineering, Procurement and Construction), particularly in thermal power plants (biomass, waste-to-energy, or SRF – Solid Recovered Fuel).

articulate a strategic vision

regarding the challenges and priorities of an industrial project.
