Most organizations append AI to conventional education frameworks as though it were an add‑on. At 2 Hour Learning, we have pursued a fundamentally different path: we have reconstructed the school system from its foundation, leveraging AI and learning science to eliminate the limitations inherent in traditional classrooms. This is not a conventional product management position centered on customer feedback cycles or gradual feature rollouts. This is a technical product ownership role at the executive tier, where you will command the architecture, technical roadmap, and AI integration across our entire learning ecosystem. You will be accountable for navigating critical technical tradeoffs to ensure our products remain lean, scalable, and unwaveringly oriented toward enhancing student outcomes. You will reason like a CTO yet execute like a product entrepreneur, fusing engineering precision with learning science principles to deliver continuous breakthroughs.

What You Will Be Doing
Cultivating and demonstrating comprehensive education product expertise to inform strategic direction
Creating technical specifications that resolve critical technical decisions while prioritizing simplicity, operational efficiency, and sustainable design
Deploying generative AI capabilities to automate and optimize engineering workflows, in alignment with the organizational objective of minimizing manual effort
What You Won’t Be Doing
Pure team management; your technical and business judgment will be the primary drivers of your impact in this role
Spending time on meetings, committees, and bureaucratic activities; we have minimized management overhead so you can concentrate on delivering tangible business value through direct execution
Abstract strategies lacking actionable implementation detail; your guidance must emerge from product-level analysis
Lead Product Architect Key Responsibilities
Serve as the CTO for one or more education products, owning foundational competencies and generating business impact through flawless execution and strategic judgment
Basic Requirements
Substantial experience or demonstrated interest in data-driven learning science
7+ years of experience making critical architecture and design decisions on software projects, including the application of architecture design patterns or major open source technologies
2+ years of experience making design decisions involving cloud computing services (primarily AWS)
4+ years of experience in roles with complete technical and delivery ownership over a revenue-generating product
Experience developing product features that leverage advanced Generative AI
Experience applying Generative AI to streamline work processes

Working with us
This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
