Overview Orakl Oncology is a pioneering TechBio company at the intersection of biology, data, and prediction. We are looking for a

Business Development Director

who will play a central role in building and executing our partnership strategy across

biopharma and drug designer companies in the EU and the US .

This role is both

highly strategic and deeply operational . You will be responsible for

initiating partnerships, structuring tailored deal proposals, leading negotiations, and driving deals through to signature . You will own the full business development lifecycle, from pipeline generation to contract execution.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will fuel and advance the partnership pipeline, working closely with scientific, R&D, and leadership teams to translate Orakl’s technology into compelling, client-specific value propositions.

Preferred location:

France or Europe. The role involves frequent international travel, including regular round trips to Paris, the EU/UK, and the USA.

Key responsibilities

Define and execute Orakl’s partnership strategy aligned with corporate objectives

Source, initiate, and progress strategic partnerships with pharma, biotech, and drug designer companies

Lead deal structuring and negotiations, including

upfronts, milestones, and royalty frameworks

Own opportunities from first contact through deal signature

Identify client-specific needs and build

tailor-made partnership models

Actively fuel and manage the BD pipeline with strong autonomy

Develop and refine external BD materials and representations

Work cross-functionally with scientific and technical teams to deeply understand Orakl’s platform and translate science into value

7+ years of experience in business development within life sciences, biotech, pharma, or TechBio

Proven track record of

originating and closing complex partnership deals

Strategic thinker with hands-on execution mindset

Knowledge of oncology drug development and experience with AI, data, or biology-driven platforms is a strong plus

Fluent English required; international experience highly valued

Interview process

HR Call (15 minutes call) – An initial discussion to better understand your background, experiences, and motivations.

Technical Interview (45 minutes call) – A deep dive into your technical skills and expertise relevant to the role.

Technical Case (30 minutes presentation + discussion) – A case study or problem-solving exercise to assess your strategic thinking and analytical abilities. If possible this can be done in person.

Founder Interview – As final step of our recruitment process, you will meet the founders of Orakl Oncology in person at our office. This meeting is an opportunity for the founders to assess cultural fit and ensure alignment with our company values.
