Offer Description This post will be funded for 24 months by the ANR Project “La Gabare - High Frequency Analysis along the Loire”. The role involves a close collaboration with the members in Angers university of the project: Martin Averseng, Clotilde Fermanian Kammerer, Nicolas Raymond.

The project belongs to the fields of Analysis of Partial differential equations (PDEs) and of Mathematical Physics. It aims at studying the properties of solutions of equations modelling physical phenomena and at describing approximations of quantities that are relevant for physics. The project is dedicated to systems of equations arising in quantum mechanics, with a focus on non-selfadjoint operators and sub-elliptic problems, especially in a magnetic setting. The project mixes different fields of mathematics - spectral theory, analysis of PDEs, harmonic analysis, numerical analysis - and has an interface with theoretical chemistry.

Definition of research activities and tasks to be accomplished :

The main purpose of the job is to provide research expertise and work on the ANR Project “La Gabare - Highfrequency analysis along the Loire” in collaboration with the three local membres. The recruited person will be responsible to the two investigators for:

Conducting collaborative research on the project and contributing to the development of research objectives.

Writing up results of research and contributing to the publication in high-quality peer-reviewed academic literature.

Disseminating results of research project via talks and lectures at seminars, conferences, workshops, summer schools etc.

Participating regularly in group meetings and prepare and deliver presentations to project team.

Project management: e.g. timetabling and meeting project milestones; participating in regular discussions with collaborative partners.

Knowledge :

A PhD degree in an area of mathematics of direct relevance for the project, or an equivalent professional qualification (and significant relevant experience where applicable).
