Aerospacelab recently broke ground on its Megafactory, the world’s third largest satellite manufacturing facility, scheduled to begin operations in 2026.
Role Overview
As a Senior AOCS engineer at Aerospacelab, you will lead designing and implementing attitude and orbit control solutions for satellites across various missions. Utilizing your expertise, you will be key in ensuring our missions achieve the various mission performances on pointing, stability and robustness throughout their missions, as well as participate in improving our design and simulation toolchain. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, you will guide the AOCS design from concept through launch.
Duties
Lead the technical development and testing of Attitude and Orbit Control Systems on project level
Participate in the development of simulation products
Support LEOP and AOCS commissioning activities
Provide support and analyses for mission and systems engineering, and operations
Support preparation of project proposals
Nice to have
Understanding of version control in Git
Experience with supporting operations of a satellite
Good understanding of embedded software architecture
Must have
MSc or PhD in a relevant field
5+ years of relevant industry experience
Strong demonstrated skillset in AOCS design
Experience in building complex simulations and models
Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink
Fluency in English
