Test Automation Specialist

Role Overview We are seeking a skilled Test Automation Specialist with strong experience in API and UI automation. The ideal candidate is proficient in Java/JavaScript/TypeScript and has hands‑on experience with modern testing frameworks, REST API testing, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for RESTful APIs and web applications.

Perform API testing using tools like REST-assured, SuperTest, Postman.

Implement automation frameworks using Cypress, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Java.

Develop BDD test scenarios using Cucumber/Gherkin.

Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Leverage cloud platforms and device farms for testing: AWS, Azure, GCP, BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, AWS Device Farm.

(Optional/Good‑to‑Have) Contribute to mobile automation using Appium.

(Optional/Good‑to‑Have) Work with KafkaJS implementations and Test Containers for integration testing.

Must‑Have Skills

Strong proficiency in Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.

Hands‑on experience with Cypress for API/UI automation.

Solid experience with REST API testing (REST-assured, SuperTest, Postman).

Familiarity with JavaScript testing frameworks: Playwright, Puppeteer, Jest, Mocha, Chai.

Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Gherkin syntax).

Strong version control knowledge (Git, Git Flow).

Additional Skills / Good‑to‑Have

Exposure to KafkaJS and Test Containers.

Mobile automation using Appium.

Experience with cloud‑based testing platforms and device farms: AWS Device Farm, BrowserStack, Sauce Labs.

Experience working in CI/CD pipelines: Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Harness.

Salary range: $120,000 – $130,000.
