The City of Beausoleil launches an open call for artist residencies at the Village Charlot for the 2026–2027 season. The programme supports creation, production, research-creation and cross-disciplinary residencies, encouraging artists to develop projects connected to the local territory and to engage with residents, schools and social or educational structures.
Residencies are scheduled to take place between September 2026 and September 2027.
Located in the heart of the city, on the border with Monaco, Village Charlot is designed as a place for living, experimentation, and sharing, bringing together a media library, artists’ studios, exhibition spaces, a fab lab, a digital museum, open gardens, and social services. Residencies play a central role and are designed as immersive experiences, fostering artistic research, creation, and knowledge sharing.
The programme supports different residency formats: creation-production, research-creation and cross-disciplinary research residencies. Artists are expected to contribute to the Village Charlot artistic and scientific programming through public meetings, workshops, research presentations or final public outcomes.
The residency welcomes research and creation projects from all disciplines: visual arts, performing arts, design, writing, performance, sound, or multidisciplinary practices. Applications are open to artists applying individually or collectively. Depending on the format, applications can involve 1 to 3 artists or participants.
The residency provides the following:
Accommodation
Technical and logistical support, and communication and promotion
Artist Residency Grant of 1500 EUR/month/artist
Production support: 2,000 EUR – 15,000 EUR (including VAT) depending on the residency type
