Responsibilities

Design the integration of the optimal set of components to achieve the satellite system's mission in cooperation with the satellite system design and development team and the component development team.

Design and analyse the interfaces and specifications between devices.

Manage mechanical system Interface Control Documents (ICDs) to and from other subsystems.

Develop a validation plan for the capture system. Plan, prepare and conduct verification tests such as vibration tests, thermal vacuum tests and or thermal cycling tests. Evaluate test results and reflect them in the design.

Carry out the mechanical assembly of the acquisition system in cooperation with the production department.

Prepare specifications for the purchase of equipment and components and subcontract design and manufacturing.

Conduct technical coordination with suppliers and manufacturers regarding specifications.

Performs technical coordination and progress management with design subcontractors.

Qualifications

Basic knowledge of robotics (actuator, multi-joint arm)

Proficiency in English reading comprehension to understand technical documentation

Practical experience in planning, preparing, carrying out and evaluating structural and mechanical tests

Have a commercial business mindset (e.g. short-term development, low cost and supply chain development).

Development experience using ROS

Development experience using MATLAB, Simulink, and Simscape

Practical experience in planning, conducting and evaluating structural and motor drive tests (especially vibration tests).

Experience in spacecraft development.
