About This Role
Based in Tokyo we are looking for a Production Specialist, on a 12 month contract, to support the content team with making innovative and premium audio content. The role will support the Content Lead to manage and organize the production of content including talent management, efficient delivery of content from the studios and support with quality control.
As a Production Specialist, you will:
Work with content lead to plan and execute an efficient production flow and maintain strong pipelines to serve objectives and KPIs of the Japan Content team.
Oversee a roadmap of content production projects, coordinating prioritization and resourcing with internal and external project owners.
Work in conjunction with stakeholders to execute infrastructure expansion and ensure technology supports expansion and product features.
Scope business and functional requirements for relevant stakeholders to create and enhance new systems, processes and tools inclusive of AI.
Work with content lead to communicate upcoming changes to operational standard work based on tech and product enhancements.
Manage all production flows and processes and seek better and scalable content production processes as needed.
Know what a high‑quality audio experience should be and set up production pathways to ensure the Audible quality standard is met across a range of high‑volume, content formats.
Coordinate effectively among cross‑functional teams, particularly Audible’s audio production team, to ensure all deadlines are met in a timely manner.
Work with Audible content producers on the workflow of editorial content through the Audible production pipeline, and make sure that all deadlines are met.
Oversee all other elements to the production process.
Keep inventory of all submissions, manuscripts and projects in development for the editorial team.
Execute on behalf of the other team members all production requirements needed across the services, inclusive of negotiations and closing deals.
Track production status and communicate updates to stakeholders.
Partner with Content Operations in other marketplaces to ensure the local Production team is set up for success with the latest and most effective tools and production trackers, addressing bottlenecks by implementing production industry and company best practices.
Track the production budget.
Create and manage a database of creators, narrators and directors, and find opportunities to expand Audible Studios network.

Basic Qualifications
Experience with program or project management.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Good with data analysis.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under deadline, a talent for getting things done, and a teamwork‑oriented attitude.
Organize talent, director and studio database.
Willing to conduct manual tasks to organize all data regarding production.
Preferred Qualifications
Passion for content, talent, creators and studios.
Self‑motivated with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
Exceptional communication skills, a passion for customers and a great appetite for reading.
Experience with a literary publication, magazine, website or publishing business.
Ability to organize highly‑diversified data.
Ability to communicate in written and spoken English (nice to have) – if you do not, there is training support at Audible to increase your English skills.
