About the Role
We are looking for an
AI & Automation Engineer
with hands‑on experience building AI solutions, automation, or internal tools. You are execution‑driven, comfortable working autonomously, and focused on delivering solutions that create immediate value while remaining scalable over time. You thrive in imperfect environments, make pragmatic technical choices, and enjoy seeing your work adopted quickly by real teams.
Responsibilitiesh3>
Build automations, integrations, and internal tools
that eliminate manual, fragile, and repetitive work.
Spot high‑impact digital opportunities
across teams, support business‑case creation, and help prioritize initiatives based on effort vs. value.
Develop connectors and pipelines
across data, documents, and systems to improve accessibility, traceability, and reliability.
Embed AI into R&D and Production workflows
to shorten experimentation cycles, improve decision‑making, and increase process robustness.
Deliver simple, usable MVPs
(AI‑powered tools, workflows, services) adopted daily by R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing.
Lead GenAI productivity initiatives : automate knowledge workflows, standardize usage, and deploy what you build into real operations.
Choose the right approach for the problem : GenAI when it adds value, deterministic automation when it’s better, and human‑in‑the‑loop where accountability matters.
Work hands‑on with scientists and operators
in a real‑world environment with constraints, ambiguity, and operational complexity.
Contribute over time to advanced modeling efforts , including programmable polymer behavior simulation to predict mechanical performance, degradation, and reliability from chemistry and process parameters.
REPORTING LINE
This job will report to the Associate Director, Growth Initiatives & AI.
YOU WILL LOVE THIS JOB IF
You thrive in ambiguity, take full ownership end‑to‑end, make pragmatic trade‑offs, and ship.
You’re highly collaborative and user‑focused, working directly with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing to solve real, high‑stakes problems.
You want high autonomy and high impact: real technical freedom, real responsibility, and solutions used quickly in day‑to‑day operations.
You’re motivated by complex scientific and industrial challenges and enjoy turning them into simple, reliable systems.
You’re looking for a role that can naturally evolve into a
Lead / Architect
position as the team scales.
You learn fast, share generously, and help build a culture of continuous improvement (better processes, better tooling, better standards).
YOUR BACKGROUND
Master’s degree
in Computer Science, AI/Data, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
2–5 years
of hands‑on engineering experience delivering AI, automation, or internal tools.
Strong Python
(required) with solid software engineering fundamentals - you ship reliable, maintainable code.
Proven experience building
automations, APIs, integrations, and MVPs
that real teams use.
Comfortable working in
cloud environments
(AWS or GCP); experience deploying services is a plus.
Practical experience with
LLMs / GenAI
(integrating models into workflows, not just prompting).
