Head of OneBtoC Data Engineering - OneBtoC & BtoC France (F/M) Location: La Défense, moving to La Garenne-Colombes during Q1 2026.

Reports to: Chief Digital & Information Officer (OneBtoC).

Role Overview:

The Head of OneBtoC Data Engineering will lead and animate the design, implementation, and optimization of data engineering capabilities across the OneBtoC organization and specifically for BtoC France. This role is pivotal in enabling ENGIE’s digital transformation and data-driven strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Define and execute the data engineering roadmap aligned with S&EM and OneBtoC transformation objectives and BtoC France priorities.

Drive adoption of modern data architectures (data lakehouse, streaming, cloud-native solutions) and engineering best practices.

Oversee design and maintenance of data ingestion, transformation, and delivery pipelines to ensure high-quality, timely, and reliable data.

Ensure automation and CI/CD practices for data workflows.

Collaborate with Data Governance teams to embed data quality controls and lineage tracking.

Ensure compliance with GDPR and ENGIE Group standards for data security and privacy.

Partner with Data Science and AI teams to provide optimized data environments for ML and GenAI use cases.

Lead a high-performing team of data engineers; foster innovation and continuous improvement.

Act as bridge between S&EM GBU and data engineering teams in BtoC entities, central OneBtoC teams, and BtoC France squads.

Qualifications

Education:

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.

Experience:

10+ years in software or data engineering, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.

Proven track record in large-scale software or data platform implementations and cloud technologies (AWS).

Track record in business-oriented delivery management.

Technical Skills:

Expertise in ETL/ELT frameworks, distributed computing, and modern data stack (Dataiku, Databricks).

Strong understanding of data modeling, API integration, and real-time data processing.

Ability to manage cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders across geographies.

Languages: French; fluent in English.
