Flipflow , we’re looking for a
Forward Deploy Software Engineer
to join our Retail Tech team and play a key role in how our platform is deployed, configured and operated for real customers.
This is a very hands-on,
full-time engineering role , close to the product and to d-to-day operations.
You will work at the intersection of
Engineering, Data, Operations and Customer Success , ensuring accounts are correctly set up, incidents are resolved efficiently, and internal tooling scales with the company.

Your Challenge & Impact
We already work with
mid-market and enterprise customers , each with different configurations, data needs, data scopes, and operational requirements.
As a
Forward Deploy Engineer , your mission is to ensure that:
Customer accounts are
correctly deployed and configured
Technical incidents are
quickly diagnosed and resolved
Internal tools and processes evolve
to support scale,
define better workflows
and reduce manual work
You will have a
direct impact on customer satisfaction, internal operational efficiency and the scalability of the platform .
What will you do?
Execute and maintain
account setups and configurations
for new and existing customers.
Investigate, debug and resolve technical incidents related to data pipelines, backend services, networking layers and operational workflows.
Act as a
technical bridge between Customer Success and Engineering , translating operational issues into clear technical actions.
Build, improve and maintain
internal tooling
to automate setups, validations, quality checks and operational processes.
Work with data feeds, integrations and pipelines — including web scraping processes — ensuring data quality, consistency and correct per-account configuration.
Perform data analysis and management tasks, leveraging structured datasets, BI tools and analytical platforms (e.g., OLAP environments) to validate business logic and detect anomalies.
Monitor systems and proactively detect issues before they impact customers.
Document processes, configurations and recurring patterns to improve scalability and reduce friction over time.
Write code on a daily basis using LLM-assisted development tools
(such as Cursor or similar) to understand existing code, implement solutions, refactor and speed up delivery.
Your Profile
2–4 years of experience in
Software Deploy Engineering, Backend, Full-stack or similar roles .
Strong experience in at least one of the following languages: Java or Go, and solid working knowledge of
TypeScript (Node.js)
and Python.
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including the transport layer of the OSI model (TCP/UDP, ports, connectivity troubleshooting).
Experience working with SQL databases, structured data and data management systems.
Experience using version control systems (Git-based workflows) and contributing to CI/CD pipelines.
Comfortable working with
APIs, backend systems and technical configurations .
Strong
problem-solving and debugging skills .
Able to work autonomously and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in:
Computer Science (Grado en Ingeniería Informática) – focused on software engineering, systems, networks, databases and computer architecture.
Information Systems Engineering (Grado en Ingeniería de Sistemas de Información) – with strong emphasis on systems design and data management.
Or equivalent professional experience in related technical fields.
