Business Development Director (Southern and Central Eastern Europe)

At LHH Executive Search we are currently supporting our client, an international leader in Real Estate services, that is looking for a Business Development Director Southern and Central Eastern Europe, based in Madrid.

Reporting to the Global Head of Business Development, your main responsibilities will include to:

Carry out competitive and sector monitoring, identify growth levers (prospect and customer segments and promising markets), support by the global \"market intelligence\" team within the Business Development structure. Anticipate industry and market developments, propose commercial directions, improvements or modifications to the company products/services. Ensure competitive intelligence on market developments, particularly in terms of new customer acquisition, changes in the offer (new services or new asset classes) and pricing standards. Prepare, in collaboration with the Business Units, the company projected revenue budget, ensuring that the objectives are consistent with the market potential. Define prospects, identify decision-makers, qualify the customer-prospect database. Participate in the development of the commercial action plan for its scope, in line with the overall commercial strategy and, consequently, with the company global strategy. Respond to request for proposals: compile and draft files, cost proposals in conjunction with the hierarchy and the dedicated business team (managed by him at the time of the call). Prospect new lead accounts, high potentials, identify their needs and growth opportunities. Define suitable commercial proposals, organize commercial meetings. Evaluate the profitability of mandates for new clients and follow the defined approval process. Draw up a business plan and a map of target customer accounts, define specific actions. Activate and retain your active customer portfolio, negotiate with strategic or sensitive accounts, ensure visits, negotiate contracts, services, prices, discounts. Negotiate and build projects, build and write tailor-made commercial offers, provide clients with methodological and organisational support in project management. Target, organize and/or participate in external business events, which can be an opportunity to meet potential customers. Work alongside each Business Unit and Brand Marketing on an external communication strategy that better communicates the company offer, its uniqueness and expertise, especially to the target customer market. Maintain a business network through local contacts to strengthen the companys positioning and reputation and potentially generate business partnership agreements. Direct management of the teams that carry out the sales action plan and customer strategy in the markets where the company is present.

We are looking for a senior real estate professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, bringing a deep knowledge of the sector (specialist in a profession and knowledge of all services throughout the life cycle of an asset and real estate value chain: development, capital markets, asset management, property management, leasing, etc). You will bring a masterโ€™s degree coupled with a business or management school diploma (a dual commercial and technical training is preferred). In addition, it is important that you combine a good knowledge of sales techniques and negotiation B2B or B2C, as well as tender management and project management (agile mode). You will manage a commercial team, so it is necessary that you bring leadership, dynamism, strategic and operational vision, ability to influence and persuade, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in English is mandatory, French is desired.
