We are currently supporting the search for a Controlling & Cash Manager to join an international
consumer goods organization with headquarters in Spain and operating in a dynamic and evolving
environment.
This is a hybrid and high-impact role combining two strategic finance dimensions: treasury controlling
and overheads controlling. The position offers strong exposure to senior management and plays a central
role in reinforcing financial discipline, improving cash flow performance, and ensuring rigorous cost
control at headquarters level.
The person reports to the Controlling Director, with 3 direct reports.
Responsibilities
Treasury Controlling & Cash Planning
The role focuses on financial steering rather than transactional treasury operations. The objective is to
bring visibility, structure, and reliability to cash forecasting and working capital performance.
Prepare, monitor and improve reliability and accuracy of short, mid, and long-term cash forecasts.
Consolidate, analyze, and challenge cash assumptions across entities.
Identify liquidity risks and opportunities.
Drive initiatives to optimize working capital (receivables, payables, inventory impact on cash), improve cash flow and reduce net debt.
Monitor daily cash positions at a steering level and anticipate funding needs.
Manage relationships with banking partners and oversee credit facilities when required.
Overheads Control
The second key dimension of the role is the full controlling of overheads, with a emphasis on personnel
costs.
Manage and control overheads costs, including headcount, payroll, incentives provisions, training costs, and general services expenses.
Prepare budgets and forecasts, perform variance analysis, and propose corrective actions.
Lead the budgeting and closing processes related to overhead expenses.
Act as a finance business partner to HR and functional leaders.
Ensure data accuracy and consistency in SAP and reporting systems.
Maintain strict confidentiality when handling HR-related data.
Requirements
Around 8-12 years of experience in finance roles, ideally within international consumer goods environments.
Experience in food industry is a plus.
Strong background in controlling, treasury controlling, or corporate finance.
Proven ability to work with cash forecasting, working capital, and overheads analysis.
Experience in SAP and advanced Excel required. BOARD experience valued.
Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or similar.
MBA, additional finance qualifications or M&A experience are a plus.
