Job Summary
At Nobu Hotel Barcelona, the Bar Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of bar services, upholding the quality, service, and presentation standards defined by the Nobu brand. This individual leads the team of bartenders, fosters a creative environment for the development of new cocktails, conducts training and follow-up for new team members, and oversees compliance with operational, hygiene, and safety procedures. Additionally, the Bar Supervisor acts as a liaison between the team and management, supports special events, and actively participates in service whenever needed
Essential Functions
Training for the new employees and following up with their progress.
Creating and printing training materials for the team and ensure they are learning from those.
Ensure bartenders has sufficient knowledge of the products.
Lead a creative environment within the team, promoting their creativity in producing new cocktails.
Ensure bartender follows up with Nobu grooming standards, acting with decency and elegance.
Ensure the Nobu service standards are met at all times.
Create as directed by the management the beverage file that are necessary to improve and maintain the service standards.
Ensure drinks standards are met at all times, however different personality are supported.
Ensure all the payment process is handled correctly and performing closure of night procedure.
Ensure the service is smooth and ask for assistance when is required, before it is getting out of hands.
Setting up events and ensure all the products mentioned in BEO are ready for service.
Ensure preparation is done correctly and the par levels are respected as required.
Ensure everything is labeled correctly, all the products are fresh and are rotating.
Ensure weekly cleaning is performed as per schedule.
Ensure all the storage rooms are organized, tidy and cleaned.
Ensure daily bar cleaning is performed correctly.
Placing orders for fruits and beverages when is required.
Reporting to floor team YAMAS (the products we are out of stock)
Perform monthly inventory counting.
Assisting and performing the bartenders and barbacks tasks if needed.
Help the servers if required.
Menu printing when is updated.
Requirements:
Education:
Advance studies in cocktail or mixology is preferred.
Experience:
3 years
minimum of bartender
Technical skills:
advanced mixologist skills and spirits knowledge
Communication:
Spanish good speaking and written, English good speaking and written
Skills:
good attitude, flexibility on shifts, problem solving and creative mind
Grooming:
