ACCIONA is looking to hire a Civil Site Manager for our Industry area, within the ACCIONA Netherlands division.

Mission:

Lead and manage all civil construction activities for high-voltage substation projects in the Netherlands for key clients such as TenneT and Enexis. As Civil Site Manager, this person will be responsible for the planning, coordination, budgeting, and execution of civil works in both substation extensions and new-built projects. The Civil Site Manager will ensure technical quality, schedule compliance, and cost control, while progressively developing direct relationships with local subcontractors in order to optimize the supply chain and reduce reliance on intermediary contractors.

Functions:

The Civil Site Manager will have the following key responsibilities. · Reviewing & analyzing civil scopes for substation projects during tender & execution phases. · Preparing & validating civil planning schedules, identifying critical paths & construction risks. · Supporting the preparation of civil budgets, cost estimations, and procurement strategies. · Coordinating and supervising civil works on site, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements. · Managing and monitoring main civil contractors currently engaged in substation extensions and new-build projects. · Developing in-depth knowledge of the Dutch local civil construction market, including specialized subcontractors (piling, excavation and backfilling, aggregates supply, precast concrete, reinforcement and formwork, asphalt works, etc.). · Building direct relationships with local subcontractors with the objective of progressively restructuring the contracting model and reducing intermediary layers. · Leading site meetings with contractors and subcontractors to monitor progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure alignment with project objectives. · Coordinating closely with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure proper integration of civil works with electrical and mechanical installation activities. · Identifying improvement opportunities in construction methodology, cost optimization, and scheduling efficiency. · Ensuring full compliance with Dutch regulations, client requirements, and internal company standards.

Requisitos del candidato

Degrees / Certificates / Training: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Infrastructure, or a related technical field. Languages and Required Level English – High level (written and spoken). Knowledge of Dutch and Spanish is considered an advantage. Additional Skills and Experience Previous experience in the management of civil engineering works for industrial projects is desirable. Experience coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams within the same organization is preferred. Experience with High Voltage Electrical Substation projects in the Netherlands is a strong plus, but not mandatory. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools is required. Travel Availability Yes. The position is based in the Netherlands and requires regular travel to project sites across the country.
