Company DescriptionThe Jason Floyd Golf Academy is an International Junior Golf Academy based at the San Roque Club, in Cadiz, Spain. We prioritise the development of junior golfers, working in partnership with Sotogrande International School to prepare our students, personally, academically, and in golf to earn college scholarships to universities in the USA.We pride ourselves not just in the development of our students as golfers or as students, but are passionate about our students' development as people, cultivating the relevant life skills that are essential for elite-level golf and all areas of life. We are currently looking for a new member to expand our mental performance team. Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Mental Performance Coach, located in San Roque. The Mental Performance Coach will work closely with student-athletes to enhance their mental focus, resilience, and performance in both training and competition. Responsibilities include designing and implementing mental training programs, providing one-on-one coaching, and collaborating with athletic and educational staff to support overall performance. The role also involves monitoring progress and tailoring strategies to meet individual needs.Qualification Requirements:Minimum of completed master's degree in sport psychology or related field upon commencement of positionAdditional qualifications and applied experience working in high performance environments preferred.Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and thrive in a fast-paced environment.Experience working with culturally diverse populations.Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.Creative ability to translate complex psychological concepts into engaging, age-appropriate workshops for teenagers.Foundational knowledge of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and/or experience delivering ACT-based interventions preferred.A complementary understanding of related performance domains, such as a foundational understanding of golf or strength and conditioning, is an advantage.
