PEAK oversees the strategy, distribution, and licensing of sports content across all media platforms globally. Its core mandate is to grow the business of sports leagues by distributing content in a manner that reaches and engages both new and existing fans, increases revenue for the business, and creates long-term strategic value for partners. The business was launched off the back of a 15-year strategic partnership with LALIGA, with other clients including the NBA, WTA, Serie A, Ligue 1, as well as private equity clients such as CVC.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Madrid for a Partner Relations Manager. The successful candidate will play a key role in partner management for the PEAK Sport Media business, focusing on partnerships with global rights holders, working to maximize value for all stakeholders. As a Partner Relations Manager, you will become deeply involved in multiple key partnerships including LALIGA, to ensure alignment of business priorities, KPI track and provide creative strategies to maximise commercial performance across the board.
This role requires elite communication and interpersonal skills, a proactive problem-solving mindset and an ability to organize and take ownership of projects. We are looking for someone that has a passion for the sports industry, a broad understanding of how value is generated and shared between rightsholders and the media ecosystem, and the curiosity to push and challenge the status quo.
Responsibilities
Support in the optimisation of PEAK´s existing rights holder and media partnerships, with an immediate and primary focus on LALIGA business
Develop a strong understanding of revenue driving functions within partner structures including Media Sales, Commercial, Content, Digital and Product, and assist in the creation and evolution of new media strategies
Coordinate day-to-day operational relationships with partners to ensure tracking and delivery of key activities, from tender processes and contract negotiation, partner activations and account management, to key market analyses and the development of strategic commercial approaches
Liaise and collaborate with all internal PEAK teams to ensure delivery of key work for partners
Create and participate in regular business reviews and presentations to key internal and external stakeholders
Assist in the identification of new business opportunities for PEAK and provide support throughout proposal phase
Contribute to positive group culture to foster high performance, efficient processes, and ongoing professional development
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience in an account management or similar role providing relevant experience, within the sports media industry
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build and foster broad network of relationships
Knowledge of media trends (traditional and digital), evolution of platforms/ content consumption
Deep knowledge of European football ecosystem with keen interest in multiple sports
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with ability to prepare and deliver presentations for senior stakeholders both internal and external
Candidate must command high business fluency in both Spanish and English
