The role provides legal advice and support on corporate and commercial matters at both domestic and international level, including intragroup contracting and IP-related advisory. In addition, the position supports the design, implementation and ongoing operation of the company’s AI governance framework, partnering with stakeholders across Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Security, Product, Technology, Finance and Business teams to enable responsible AI at scale.
FUNCTIONS:
1) Corporate & contractual legal support (domestic and international)
Provide day-to-day legal advice and contractual support, including responding to and resolving internal legal queries.
Negotiate, draft and review intragroup agreements, standard terms and conditions and other corporate/commercial arrangements at domestic and international level.
Negotiate, draft and review a broad range of commercial contracts related to the Company’s business, including (as applicable): supplier and procurement agreements, leases and real estate-related agreements, NDAs and other confidentiality arrangements, support to Finance on guarantees / financing matters, other ad hoc commercial arrangements.
2) Third-party / vendor governance & contracting (including AI suppliers)
Review and negotiate technology/vendor agreements, including AI-related agreements, focusing on: compliance commitments and regulatory cooperation, audit/assurance rights, data use restrictions (including training/retention): IP, confidentiality, subcontracting and cross-border considerations, liability/indemnities/limitations aligned with risk profile
3) AI governance framework & policy
Support the design, implementation and continuous improvement of the company’s AI governance model (policies, standards, controls, approval flows, documentation and decision rights).
Draft, review and maintain Responsible AI policies, guidance, playbooks and templates (e.g., AI intake, AI use approvals, risk acceptance, model change management).
Support IBIOL AI governance forums (e.g., AI/Tech Risk committees), including preparation of materials, legal assessments and decision records.
4) Regulatory & compliance advisory for AI
Provide legal guidance on AI-related requirements across jurisdictions (e.g., EU AI Act, data protection, consumer protection, product safety) and translate these requirements into practical controls.
Advise on AI system classification, transparency obligations, human oversight requirements and post-deployment monitoring duties, where applicable.
5) AI risk management & assessments
Lead or support legal input into AI risk processes (e.g., AI risk assessments).
Identify, assess and clearly communicate legal risks, mitigation options and residual risk to stakeholders and governance bodies.
6) Product, data & technology enablement
Partner with product and engineering teams to embed legal-by-design and compliance-by-design across the AI lifecycle.
Support transparency and documentation requirements from legal point of view (e.g., user disclosures/notice, labelling).
8) Training, awareness & change management
Deliver training and practical guidance to business and legal stakeholders on AI governance requirements and key contracting/IP considerations.
Promote consistent adoption of processes and templates across the organization.
9) Stakeholder management & reporting
Act as a pragmatic advisor, balancing risk, compliance and business objectives.
Contribute to dashboards/metrics and reporting for AI governance and legal operations (e.g., intake volumes, key risks, remediation status).
Within the Legal Department, the role will provide ongoing in-house corporate legal support at both domestic and international level, advising Group companies and business stakeholders.
Experience
: 2 to 5 years of experience in a Legal Department within an IT and/or services company with an international presence, in a similar role, or at a well-regarded law firm, with demonstrable/proven experience.
Technical Skills:
Double Degree in Business Administration/Law, or Law Degree with a Master’s in In-House Legal Advisory.
Functional Skills
:
AI FIRST MINDSET AND ADVANCED KNOWLEDGE OF THE USE OF AI applied to the legal function. Knowledge of the fundamentals of the main LLMs and sound judgment on how to apply AI responsibly. Knowledge of the use of ELM, CLM and legal research tools will be valued
