Failure Analysis Engineer

My client is looking for a Failure Analysis Engineer to join their team in Spain, for a company working on innovative optical bandwith switching solutions.

The ideal Failure Analysis Engineer will contribute to photonic integrated modules designed for top-tier data center standards, and work closely with other teams to ensure product optimisation.

Responsibilities: Lead failure analysis and root cause investigations to improve reliability, design, and yield Establish and develop new failure analysis capabilities Manage complex investigations using advanced or novel techniques Influence design, process, and testing to meet performance targets Support product qualification for high-performance data center applications Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues

Requirements: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related field 3+ years’ experience in failure analysis within semiconductor and/or photonics environments Hands-on experience with failure analysis tools Strong understanding of device physics and IC failure mechanisms Knowledge of packaging-related failure modes Experience with semiconductor advanced packaging Familiar with working in cleanroom environments and optical testing
