Systems & Networks Administrator
, you’ll be a key player in managing, securing, and optimizing a diverse IT environment across the organisation.
This is a true “jack of all trades” role, ideal for someone with deep hands-on experience across Microsoft 365, AWS, Jira, Windows Server, and network infrastructure, paired with a strong, proactive security mindset. You’ll ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of the systems that power day-to-day operations and future growth.
What You’ll Do
Administer, monitor, and optimize
Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Defender, Entra ID, Intune)
Manage and maintain
AWS cloud infrastructure
, including identity sources, networking, security controls, HPC, SAML, and Route53
Support
Windows Server environments
, including Active Directory, file services, patching, and backups
Administer and customize
Atlassian Jira and Confluence
, aligning tools with team workflows and integrations
Support network infrastructure including
switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, site connectivity, and basic SD-WAN
Design and maintain network layouts and subnet allocations for new and existing facilities
Apply security best practices across systems and networks, supporting compliance, monitoring, and incident response
Troubleshoot complex issues across infrastructure, cloud platforms, networks, and applications
Provide guidance to IT support teams on complex software and hardware issues
Contribute to IT strategy and propose improvements to performance, security, and reliability
Maintain clear documentation of systems, configurations, and processes
What You’ll Need
~ Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
~5+ years
of experience in systems and network administration
~ Strong hands-on experience with
Microsoft 365 administration and identity management
~ Solid knowledge of
AWS
services, IAM, networking, and security configuration
~ Strong
Windows Server and Active Directory
skills
~ Good understanding of
Zero Trust
and modern cybersecurity frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001, NIS)
~ Experience with monitoring tools such as
PRTG, SolarWinds, CloudWatch, SIEM, SOC/NOC platforms
~ Basic to intermediate
Linux
administration skills
~ Exposure to
DevOps practices
and CI/CD tooling
~ Experience with
virtualization and storage technologies
(VMware / Hyper-V)
~ Strong understanding of
OIDC, SAML 2.0, SCIM, MFA
, and SaaS integrations
~ Scripting or automation experience ( PowerShell, Python, Bash )
~ Solid networking fundamentals ( TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls, VPNs )
~ Ability to translate technical challenges into clear solutions for non-technical stakeholders
Desirable Certifications
Microsoft 365 Administrator
AWS Associate or Professional
Network+ or CCNA
Security-focused certifications (e.g. Security+)
