Delivery Lead

Delivery Lead (Contract / Interim Cover) We’re looking for an experienced Delivery Lead to step into a key interim role, ensuring continuity, structure, and delivery excellence across multiple teams during a period of leave cover. This is a high-impact position where you’ll act as a central coordination point across Delivery, PMO, People, and senior leadership, driving alignment, maintaining standards, and keeping delivery on track.

The Role You’ll be responsible for maintaining strong delivery discipline across squads, ensuring consistent execution, and acting as the bridge between operational teams and senior stakeholders. This role requires someone highly organised, proactive, and confident working across multiple functions in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities

Delivery Oversight Ensure consistent execution across Delivery Leads, including planning, estimation, tracking, and governance Drive accountability and maintain high delivery standards across teams Support escalation and resolution of risks, blockers, and dependencies

Stakeholder Alignment Act as a key interface between senior leadership and delivery teams Communicate strategic updates, priorities, and changes clearly across teams Escalate critical issues and ensure alignment at all levels

PMO and Governance Ensure adherence to reporting cadence, planning standards, and governance frameworks Align delivery practices with PMO expectations Identify and resolve gaps between process and execution

Resource and Hiring Coordination Maintain visibility of hiring pipelines, onboarding, and team changes Ensure hiring decisions align with strategic priorities and budgets Coordinate across stakeholders to ensure smooth onboarding and team transitions

Operational Support Support day-to-day operational needs within the delivery environment Help maintain a productive, well-functioning team setup Escalate operational or structural issues where needed

Delivery Excellence Promote strong delivery culture with ownership, transparency, and accountability Ensure effective use of tools such as Jira and strong data practices Maintain predictable delivery through structured planning and tracking

What We’re Looking For Proven experience as a Delivery Lead, Senior Scrum Master, or similar Strong experience working across multiple squads and senior stakeholders Deep understanding of delivery governance, Agile practices, and tools such as Jira Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to operate with structure while navigating ambiguity Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, or team scaling is beneficial
