Responsibilities:

Migrate existing build systems to Bazel and support legacy system transitions. Establish hermetic and remote builds ensuring reproducibility and reliability. Design, implement, and maintain full hermeticity for C++, Ruby, Perl, and Shell environments. Adapt C++ code of third‑party dependencies and migrate them to BzlMod. Contribute to the Bazel Central Registry (BCR) for libraries not yet available there. Use Bazel Queries to identify bottlenecks and propose structure improvements (physical/filesystem and logical). Apply new Bazel features such as

cc_shared_library

and symbolic macros. Optimize build performance, scalability, and reliability across complex environments. Collaborate with development teams across multiple platforms and environments. Contribute to best practices and standards for build and dependency management.

Requirements:

Strong interest and enthusiasm for build systems, monorepositories, reproducibility, and hermeticity. Experience with Bazel. Experience working within the Linux ecosystem, automation, and DevOps workflows. Background as a Platform Engineer or Build Engineer (not focused on software development or C++ application development). Experience identifying and resolving build performance bottlenecks. Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and work in large-scale codebases.
